Job Description:  Senior Media Planner/Supervisor

Rapidly growing, creative driven, never-a-dull-moment Seattleadvertising agency is looking for an experienced media planner to help manage innovative media plans, strategy, planning and execution. The candidate will use both creative thinking with factual analysis to develop appropriate strategies and media tactics to ensure campaigns effectively reach their target audiences. The media planner will work with traditional, non-traditional, and digital media and have strong communication with creative teams to ensure a tight link between media and creative orchestration. The media planner will work on a number of projects at the same time.  The position reports to the Media Director and will partner closely with other team members across the account and creative teams at the agency.

Responsibilities: 

- Work with internal and external clients to communicate business objectives and advertising strategy that results in a high performance and innovative media plans including most appropriate types of media to use as well as the most effective timing and locations.

- Establish media campaign success metrics and work with clients to evaluate campaigns accordingly: revise strategies, concepts, and executions as necessary.

- Apply detailed knowledge of media market, consumer insights, media vehicles, and geographical locations to develop media recommendations on the best form of media for specific campaigns.

- Manage research and analysis data to translate ideas into quantifiable media performances.

- Present proposals and media and cost schedules to internal audiences.

- Develop and maintain contacts with the media community.

- Manage agency relationships to gain respect and trust in your judgment.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of media management experience, preferably within an advertising agency or marketing communications department.

- Experience with new, emerging media and the debates between traditional and leading-edge advertising is a plus.

- The ability to successfully manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

- Strong consumer insights and the ability to translate those insights into smart, innovative media strategies.

- Self starter, ability to work independently.

- Excellent organizational and project management skills.

- Clear, persuasive presentation and written communications skills.
