Senior Manager, Traffic Analytics Be a key part of one of the largest online marketing programs on earth! Here’s your opportunity to have a direct impact on the core online marketing strategies for the world’s largest online retailer.  Amazon.com’s online marketing team is expanding and looking for individuals with experience in developing, implementing, analyzing and optimizing traffic building strategies across multiple online channels worldwide.  This group operates as a unique entity complete with its own technology team. You’ll collaborate with other groups within Amazon but you’ll feel like you are working on your own entrepreneurial venture — financially backed by a stable corporate partner. Bring your internet marketing expertise to this team and you’ll have the opportunity to be part of a small group of innovative, technologically sophisticated marketing experts that are continually driving traffic to all areas of the Amazon.com website by: Developing new channels and building new programs for existing channels; growing the world’s largest affiliate program and the world’s largest comparison shopping programs; using the most technologically advanced segmentation and targeting algorithms to reach every slice of the worlds online population. Your Role: The Sr. Manager, Traffic Analytics will strengthen and build a core competence of qualitative and quantitative marketing and business intelligence for Amazon’s Targeted Advertising group (and beyond). This key player will act as the primary analytics contact for Amazon’s internal traffic teams and will be responsible for creating recommendations that guide our optimization, media and creative strategy.  The successful candidate will be able to finely balance analytic findings and marketing action. As a senior leader in this growing group, The Sr. Manager, Traffic Analytics must be comfortable thinking strategically about existing and new business challenges, and equally at home rolling up their sleeves and diving into the data. To excel, this individual must be highly analytical, data savvy and marketing-minded. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for the tracking, measurement, reporting, and analysis of all traffic programs/campaigns Integrate with the channel management, optimization, and creative teams to provide strategic leadership and guidance through analysis of marketing programs Translate analytical findings into concise business actions and recommendations Conduct ongoing analysis of key predictive business factors to identify new opportunities for the company Lead the analysis and tracking of paid channels, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, A/B testing, etc. Advise on data architecture needs which can adequately support future analytics efforts Develop and manage the Traffic Analytics strategic roadmap  7+ years marketing research and analysis and business intelligence experience 3+ years experience in online marketing analytics Demonstrated understanding of direct/database marketing, interactive (SEO/SEM, Display), business and financial principles Deep understanding of customer intelligence practices, profiling/segmentation and predictive modeling Ability to build and lead a team Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Experience with business intelligence tools (Business Objects, Cognos, etc.), statistical software (SPSS, SAS, Statistica, etc.), and 3rd party web analytics (Hitwise, Nielsen, Comscore, etc.) Strong knowledge of database architecture and systems (Oracle, SQL, SQL Server) Bachelors degree in Math/Statistics, Economics, CompSci, Business or related field required. Advanced degrees preferred
