Seattle Area - Senior Media Buyer
Please send resumes to jobs@classmates.com with "3604" in the subject field The Senior Media Buyer will be responsible for helping to shape the strategy of Classmates.com’s multi-million dollar online media program. The position requires strong knowledge of online advertising concepts, practices, and procedures and proven experience negotiating and managing relationships with top portals, ad networks and niche sites. Successful candidates will have experience in buying media on a CPM, CPC, CPA and CPC basis, understand and be able to articulate the advantages and disadvantages of each of method. A working knowledge of online ad serving solutions and analytics programs, specifically Dart for Advertisers and Omniture will be important to achieving success in this role. Top candidates will rely on extensive experience and judgment to develop, plan and accomplish goals to budget and objective. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able work in a creative, fast-paced team environment and have the skill to take Classmates Media buying to the next level. Position Requirements and Success Metrics: · Manage significant investment in online media purchases and help to develop long term strategy planning for digital media to take Classmates to the next level · Identify high value media and publisher opportunities and plans that partner our company with high impact publishers. · Be a leader and active participant in the development, negotiation, implementation, tracking, reporting and optimization of all media buys · Recommend marketing and media choices based on overall business needs and planned results · Be an advocate for our company and our brand within the industry. The success metrics for the position are measured on the growth of our database of quality registrations while staying below a pre-determined cost metric. Additional points of success can be measured through the long-term return on investment that is derived from specific media campaigns. Skill and Educational Requirements: Proven leadership and innovation in online media strategy 5+ years experience in Online Media buying or Planning Demonstrated understanding of online business and the online media world Bachelor’s degree required · Proven disciplined planning skills · Proven expertise in financial and analytical driven decision making in a complex metrics online world Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment Demonstrated ability to manage details. Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines Must be able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment along with the ability to accept interruptions as part of the routine Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility Who are we?
