Manager, Interactive Design

Do you have the ability to provide design direction while managing a team of designers and developers?  Do you have a knack for motivating your co-workers to meet and exceed expectations?  If so, then consider becoming a part of the Circuit City team as the Manager of Interactive Design in our MultiChannel Direct team! As the Manager, Interactive Design, you will lead a team that combines artistic imagination with functional, accessible, user-friendly digital marketing and landing page solutions – you’ll design rich media applications for ad campaigns, and provide guidance on user-interface design projects for landing pages and email marketing. In this role you will be expected to stay one step ahead of the latest developments in Internet advertising technologies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage team of web/rich media designers and developers, as well as a production staff Provide design direction on digital marketing creative, microsite and landing page look and feel for all digital marketing efforts Develop and enhance rich media design capabilities within the team, leveraging a creative delivery process Guide and mentor team in career progression Develop and maintain open and productive communication with internal and external clients across the organization  Job Requirements Preferred Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree in Design, Art or Advertising 5-7 years of experience, preferably in creative-driven advertising or design agency preferred 3+ years in Interactive Creative Design  Technical Requirements: Proven ability to relate to, communicate with and motivate employees to sustained high performance and quality levels Fluency in latest design software and serving technologies required (Actionscript, HTML, CSS and Javascript) In-depth experience with Flash and other software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Quark, and HTML Demonstrated appreciation and knowledge of digital marketing technologies Extremely organized and team-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines  As we continue to transform our organization to better meet the needs of our customers, there are many opportunities to contribute to the future success of Circuit City.
