Inventory Planner/Analyst (Full-Time)

If you're looking for a better place to work, and meet the qualifications, our Purchasing Department is looking for an Inventory Planner/Analyst.
The ideal person for this position will be able to: Manage and control inventory assets to support achievement of customer service and asset management objectives by utilizing knowledge and understanding of Inventory Control and Materials Management concepts.Establish, monitor and maintain forecasting and inventory control policies. Prepare forecast and calculate inventory policy for assigned SKU’s.Provide analysis with key performance indicators, information for decision making and alternative, actionable recommendations for inventory management, including surplus/obsolete, service level and vendor management strategy.Develop, coordinate, maintain and implement data collection storage and reporting system to make procurement-related decisions. Participate in and/or lead cross-functional teams to implement creative solutions. Use project management skills to ensure process and/or system changes occur, training is implemented and follow-up evaluations are completed.
The Inventory Planner/Analyst position requires a four-year degree with emphasis in Inventory or Operations Management. Two years experience in forecasting and inventory planning in a manufacturing environment using MRP, CRP, and MPS is preferred. This position requires knowledge of databases and database analysis tools and experience using a wide variety of PC applications including Access, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Visio, etc. A cross-functional understanding of distribution and supply chain management is essential. You should have great leadership skills to develop relationships with internal and external contacts. We’re looking for a team player, who is organized, communicates well, is flexible and can multi-task, goal oriented, able to accept and manage change, is open-minded, takes charge and has a sense of urgency. CPIM certification and experience with PeopleSoft/Oracle, SQL Server, and SAS is a plus.
