Customer Reference Desk Manager

Summary of Dept/Group: Projectline Services is looking for an enthusiastic marketing professional to manage customer reference programs such as case study development, press relations, analyst engagement, video production, and more. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, and thrive in an entrepreneurial and energetic environment. We’re looking for people who take their work very seriously – but not themselves! Position Overview: This position will drive strategic Customer Reference execution efforts across many product lines. This role will function as a centralized resource to research, qualify, secure, and track customer references for: customer-to-customer (C2C) sales calls, direct marketing needs, advertising campaigns, public relations (PR) and press phone calls, analyst relations, events/executive speaker opportunities, and much more. These customer reference efforts are critical for driving sales revenue, increasing market credibility, and demonstrating the business value of our client’s solutions and therefore someone ready to step into the spotlight is required. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a Customer Reference Desk to support field sales, internal marketing, product teams, and public relations via a high volume of email and out-bound phone calls - Provide detailed intelligence reporting on monthly customer reference engagements - Build and maintain customer relationships and satisfaction through orchestrated integrated marketing communications - Evangelize the program through superior customer service skills and savvy internal communications Must Have Qualifications and Requirements: - 3+ years of product management, marketing management, or communications management required - Background in marketing fundamentals including segmentation, positioning, and market analysis - Advanced skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint products (or equivalent classes/course work before starting) - Exceptionally fast learner and quick communicator - Superior customer service skills (natural attitude and aptitude for making friends) - Comfortable talking to people in many different roles in our client’s large organizations without trepidation - Willingness to work around road blocks and lack of responsive with charm and persistence - Exceptionally positive attitude, professionalism, pride in work product - Strong analytical skills - Flexible and intuitive personality who can manage complex internal and client relationships - Ability to think creatively yet practically when designing and implementing programs - BA Degree (Focus in marketing, business, communications, or related field strongly preferred) - Demonstrable sense of humor, humility, and confidence required Nice to Have Qualifications - Prior Microsoft experience - Experience working with Customer Evidence or running a reference desk About Projectline: We are a marketing strategies and management collective, providing qualified, dedicated marketing services with a proven track record to help make our client’s software sales and marketing programs successful.
