Account Manager
Account Manager is primary contact with major account Corporate office and liaison to internal teams supporting account’s sales branches. Position works closely with Corporate to identify marketing needs and collaborates with marketing department to develop and implement products and services to achieve Corporate goals. Position is ultimate point of accountability, responsible for building and maintaining client relationship, identifying and growing new business opportunities resulting in increased revenue and achieve flawless execution of all promotions.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and grow relationships from Corporate level throughout organization.
2. Collaborate with department representatives in the development of Account Plans and Marketing Briefs to ensure the achievement of client’s objectives.
3. Lead development and execution of account strategy in an effort to exceed income and profitability goals.
4. Drive development of multiple products/services for clients. Provide oversight for promotional schedules to ensure appropriate timing of all phases of programs.
5. Project manage each promotion including but not limited to coordinating the process cross functionally through organization; scheduling, monitoring, evaluating and revising systems and tools to improve communication of program details internally and externally; oversee all project details, ensuring deadlines are met and promotions are delivered and executed as agreed.
6. Develop reports for internal use that identify opportunities for process improvements to increase customer satisfaction, improve profitability and/or internal efficiencies.
7. Actively participate in sales and marketing meetings.
8. Attend trade shows in various parts of the country.
Interpersonal Skills:
Position requires proven project and account management skills. A self-starter with excellent oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills (including presentation skills). An expert negotiator with the proven ability to network at the highest level of organization.
Education and Experience:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an emphasis in marketing/advertising/sales (MBA a plus) and a minimum of five years of highly successful client management experience at the corporate level. Employer will consider equivalent combination of education and experience that provides necessary qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Necessary Knowledge, Ability and Skills:
Sales and marketing skills across multiple media channels. Ability to identify and implement new revenue opportunities. Specific industry knowledge of clients’ core business. Financial management experience. Background working cross functionally across an organization. Expert level of knowledge of Banner’s services and products
Ability to:
Drive for results. Generate incremental revenue, profitably. Think strategically. Develop long-term relationships with Corporate senior management. Read the client’s personality and appetite for change and act accordingly Manage projects to successful completion, multi-task and work within tight deadlines. Evaluate and challenge existing processes, make recommendations for continuous improvement. Target new business opportunities, develop and deliver presentations, and close leads. Analyze data and marketing trends. Resolve difficult issues internally and externally. Collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization. Contribute to the organization beyond the basic job requirements
