Waggener Edstrom is seeking an Account Executive to help us build and grow our emerging internal communications practice for the T-Mobile account. This position is a temporary, 6-month assignment, focused on Engineering Communications, specifically driving internal communications for the Operational Effectiveness (OE) team.  The goal of this team is to implement programs and tools to support the work of frontline technicians.  The position will work directly with the Senior Manager, Engineering Communications and requires very strong writing skills, experience in creation and editing of PPT presentations, collateral material such as flyers and posters and knowledge or interest in other digital forms of communication including video and Web.  In addition, this person should possess strong project management skills and be service-oriented.

 

Responsibilities:

• Drive some day-to-day management of a specific account, including planning and execution, and project management.

• Write full range of collateral materials, announcements, surveys and presentations.

• Draft and implement internal communications plan.  Maintain regular contact with client.

• Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge of clients’ business.

• Some travel will be required.

 

Qualifications:

Education:

• A BA/BS degree in communications or marketing is preferred.

 

Experience Preferred:

• At least 3 years experience in PR or communications, preferably in an agency setting and/or within the high tech industry. 4-5 years experience preferred.

• Strong presentation and research skills.

• Ability to drive client relationships, providing strategic and tactical advice, drafting and implementing plans, providing thoughtful analysis.

• Demonstrated ability to establish strong client relationships.

• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and balance priorities.

• Demonstrated client service orientation.

• High level of initiative.
