Technical Accounting Manager

Technical Accounting ManagerResponsibilities·  Research and analyze accounting issues and their application to internal and external reporting. Summarize the resulting analysis and conclusion for both executive review and to record in the general ledger. ·  Team with business operators and FP&A Group to understand budget implications and implement planning strategy for these accounting issues. ·  Lead accounting policy standardization efforts. ·  Lead quarterly external SEC filing process, including drafting and reviewing documents, ensuring quality, and administering strict timeline. ·  Lead annual external SEC filing process (10K) including working across the entire organization to refresh all annual disclosures; draft and review document; coordinate legal and executive review; and ensure quality and timeliness. ·  Team with Corporate Accounting Group to facilitate quarterly and annual reviews and audits by external auditing firm. ·  Team with HR and Stock Administration group for FAS123R accounting (including valuation and forecasting) and administration. ·  Provide accounting and finance due diligence support for M&A transactions. ·  Team with Corporate Development / Business Development and the Legal group to review contracts for structuring and accounting issues. ·  Remain current through trainings and other events on all SEC and Technical Accounting issues. ·  Other special projects as required Qualifications·  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. ·  5 - 7 years experience, with at least 5 years of experience at Big 4 public accounting firm. ·  Proficient in SEC reporting and accounting research. ·  Candidate must be team oriented, and able to partner with all functions.
