About the Position:
The Shafer Group, a CPA firm in northern Colorado Springs, is seeking a seasoned, highly skilled Tax Manager to fill a key position in this fast-growing company. Some audit experience would be a plus. This is a superb opportunity to play a pivotal role in the company’s future growth with ownership potential.

The successful candidate will have the following:

· Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in public accounting, preferably 10+ years
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Masters in Taxation preferred
· CPA certification
· Prior experience in supervising other tax accounting staff
· Prior experience in reviewing income tax returns and financial statement compilations
· Proficiency in income tax (both corporate, individual and estate) and be familiar with estate tax

Other duties for the Tax Manager include:
· Reports to the owner/president
· Interviews tax clients and performs tax planning
· Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
 
Location:
The Shafer Group is located close to the Rocky Mountain foothills, in a quiet, rural sub-division of beautiful northern Colorado Springs.
