Tax Analyst - Orange County (Sales and Use Tax)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare calculations for monthly and quarterly sales and use tax compliance.
- Prepare the annual reconciliation of fixed assets for the property tax compliance and coordinate with outside tax provider. Review the filings completed by the outside tax provider and ensure their timely filing.
- Assist with the annual payment of property tax assessments as received throughout the year.
- Maintain monthly prepaid property tax schedule and book monthly accrual.
- Assist with information gathering for sales tax and property tax audits.
- Perform tax research to assist in determining impact of various transactions (including changes in corporate structure or operations) and various other issues.
- Preparation and/or review of the annual reports and business licenses renewals of domestic entities.
- Assist tax department in maintaining the Taxware sales and use tax software.
- Preparation of sales and use tax registrations for new business locations.
- Preparation of miscellaneous tax returns.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in an Accounting
2-3 years experience.
