TAX MANAGER

TAX MANAGERMajor Responsibilities:·  Leads in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings including extensions and quarterly estimates in accordance with local and federal guidelines and GAAP. ·  Prepares current and deferred tax liabilities for internal reporting and audited financial statements including annual provision to return reconciliations. ·  Develops tax strategies by researching and reviewing federal, state, and local taxation issues and maximizing tax savings. ·  Improves tax administration by developing and streamlining procedures. ·  Leads federal, state and local tax audit work. ·  Performs nexus studies and multistate tax planning. ·  Prepares FAS 109 computations and FIN 48 exposure. ·  Prepares sales & use tax returns and property tax returns. ·  Responds effectively to all company tax inquiries. ·  Coordinates global tax compliance and tax planning (all areas of tax). ·  Proactively manages all projects performed by outside tax consultants. ·  Some travel will be required to visit manufacturing facilities. Experience & Qualifications:·  7+ years of tax and audit experience with demonstrated track record of technical experience in proactive research and planning, compliance and tax provision work. ·  Experience with both partnership and corporate taxation. ·  Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and implement change. ·  Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail. ·  Possess excellent oral and written communications skills and proven ability to build strong relationships with internal departments as well as external advisors and tax authorities. ·  Ability to research and interpret complex tax issues and effectively communicate conclusions and recommendations to senior management, peers and staff. ·  Experience in international tax and cross border transactions. ·  Experience in tax audits and negotiating tax issues. ·  Excellent analytical and computer skills. ·  BA/BS in Accounting ·  CPA ·  Masters in Taxation (preferred) To Apply, please send your resume to kim.boot@parkerlynch.com Company: Parker and Lynch Status: Full Time, Employee Location: East Bay, CA Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Work Experience: 7+ to 10 Years Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
