Staff Accountant - Intern Position

Staff Accountant - Intern Position Position Description: Support general activities associated with general ledger, accounts payable, financial reports and operating reports. Assist in preparing and reporting of monthly financial results Responsible for activities associated with general ledger-accounts payable, costing, variations. Perform in-depth analyses including metrics, process flows and variances to planned performance. Support Sarbanes Oxley requirements as required. Prepares income and balance sheet account reconciliations. Research and solve problems while working independently to access and coordinate data from external cost management and other accounting systems. Seek continuous improvement of department processes and work within cross-functional teams. Miscellaneous administration support as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting in progress Experience in accounting or analysis functions preferred but not required. Well developed analytical and organizational skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting in progress.
