The Role: As a Sr. Payroll Analyst, you will support TMS accounting group through researching GL file import issues; assist in researching reconciling items from accounting; and working with accounting, payroll operations, and HR to streamline the GL process. As well as prepare periodic, quarterly, and annual payroll tax reconciliations. Also, in this role, you will be assigned to work on various payroll-related projects as needed such as new system implementations; process design and improvement; and system upgrades and reconfiguration. Responsibilities: Responsible for the administration of the biweekly payroll, daily payroll operations and the payroll operations team in a multi-state environment using ADP Enterprise and Kronos time and attendance systems Responsible for payroll integrity audits such as ensuring the proper reporting of non-cash fringe benefits (ie. stock options and relocation); reconcile 940 & 941 filings to wages reports; reconcile 3rd party transaction files to payroll deductions reports; reviewing the methodology and adequacy of payroll audits to ensure an accurate payroll; and ensure audit processes and controls are being followed Responsible for writing, running, and distributing ad hoc reports to Payroll customers using ADP Reportsmith and Microsoft Access Ensure the accurate processing of stock related transactions and confirm that processes and systems adhere to federal, state and local rules and regulations affecting payroll practices Review and audit master file and pay data entries, YTD totals, and file amendments Download custom files and reports; review payroll audits; manage 401k transactions Helping to ensure payrolls are run accurately and effectively Helping to ensure payroll operations team members are trained in all aspects of payroll operations and adequate resources are allocated to meet departmental requirements Provide support for administering the GL process to include maintaining GL account mapping; downloading GL files from payroll system; reconciling GL files with payroll registers, and forwarding reconciled GL files to Accounting for posting Provide support for managing payroll taxes to include tracking tax tracers and ensuring they are resolved by the outsourced vendor in a timely manner; working with HR and Payroll Operations team to set up new tax jurisdictions; reconciling payroll tax deposits to the bi-weekly payroll registers; and process amendments as necessary Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting preferred Require a minimum of five years experience in Payroll or Accounting fields Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines communicate at all levels of the company possess excellent time management skills must know Excel at the intermediate level and have meticulous attention to detail Experience with ADP and Kronos as well as FPC or CPP certification a plus Your Ticket In!
