Sr. A/R Accountant
Position Summary:Ensure the integrity and maintain current reconciliations for various MCI and MNAO accounts, specifically those related to receivables. In addition all non-dealer accounts subledger (inter company, Export, employee purchase, car leases, port contractors) are also reconciled monthly. Responsible for processing the EFT at month end and collecting on past due amounts for dealers and non-dealers.Essential Duties: Support IT in publishing the dealer's statements monthly on the web by generating, providing the statements as well as the corresponding invoice file accurately and timely.Maintain, update, sends and follow up the EFT file to the bank for collection of monies owed on parts statements.Monitor Inactive/Terminated dealers' activities with the regions and dealer developments to ensure accuracy of all charges prior to final transfer or termination. Process check requests for both MNSO and MCI for payments of credit balance and/or final payment.Reconcile A/R subledger accounts for non-dealers. Contract customers to follow up and resolve disputes for unpaid balances. Generate monthly reports of uncollected accounts for management review.Reconcile MNAO and MCI general Ledger accounts receivables, identify variances, prepare and post journal entries to re class differences to the correct account and ensure all MC billings are invoiced.Perform monthly MNAO and MCI A/R close and distribute final reports to US regions and Canada.Provide high level of customer service to all contacts. Serves as A/R support to MNAO regions, dealers, management and MCI personnel.Prioritize, organize and complete all tasks by their weekly or monthly deadline.Assist A/R Supervisor in special projects as needed.In addition to the audit requirements, on an annual basis will participate in the self assessment required by JSOX.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with staff, management dealers and vendors, accurate, detail oriented, organized and a team player. Effectively present information in one-on-one situations. Use standard office equipment, including telephones, calculators, copiers and facsimile equipment. Use a computer including word processing and spreadsheet applications.Education: (Minimum) Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)Experience: 3-5 yearsTraining/Certification: Excel/Word/Web-based-systems (SAP)/Outlook
