Senior Staff Auditor

Irvine based CPA firm has an excellent opportunity for a senior staff auditor to join its quickly growing firm.  Its client industries include: manufacturing, technology, construction, service and not-for-profit.  The qualified candidate will have 3-5 years private sector or small to medium sized CPA firm experience as senior accountant, staff auditor or supervisor level accounting position.  Will be responsible for accomplishing all aspects of assigned reviews and will work with limited supervision on client engagements.

Requirements:

· 3 - 5 years of prior business experience in financial, operational, or compliance auditing (within a manufacturing, technology, construction or not-for-profit preferred), or supervisor level accounting position within a manufacturing or other related companies as described above.

 

· Lead audit engagements for assigned clients and as requested

 

· Experience working with privately held clients is a plus

 

· Industry experience in manufacturing, real estate, construction, not-for-profit, is strongly desired.

 

· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)

 

· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (GAAP)

 

· Keeping apprised of latest developments as they affect GAAP and the Firm’s standards and policies

 

· Proficiency in use of computers and computer accounting software programs

 

· Good oral and written communication skills

 

· Ensure that all work papers supporting the review are clear and concise

 

Education:

· BS/BA required (accounting preferred)

License & Certification:

· Professional certification preferred (CPA)
