Senior Lead/Revenue Accountant for global software company
Premier public traded global software provider that supports 1,300 organizations and over 17 million end users worldwide is looking for a hands-on Lead/Revenue Accountant. With clients including IBM, BMW, Cisco and FedExp, this position plays a key role in both day-to-day and strategic support of revenue recognition matters by providing leadership and expertise to projects and projects management.Responsibilities: Contract review to ensure compliance with SOP 97-2 and related pronouncements Ensure consistent application of revenue recognition policies and processes in accordance with relevant accounting literature and corporate policy Responsible for monthly/quarterly close for revenue, revenue reporting, revenue reconciliations and analysis. Must be able to calculate and analyze VSOE for the Company’s products Prepare revenue and deferred revenue reports to support internal and external reporting requirements Prepare fluctuation analysis related to recognized and deferred revenues Requirements: BS degree in Accounting or Finance7+ years of software revenue recognition experienceThorough knowledge of SOP97-2 and VSOE Accountants Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
