Senior Cost Accountant South Bay100K + BonusBe the owner of COGS and Inventory from the accounting perspective by ensuring the proper processes are in place.  Maintain cost accounting databases and related files.  Provide cost accounting analysis and reports to management for budgeting and forecasting purposes.  Assist in managing month end close process, preparation of monthly financial statements, and GL reconciliations with audit-ready documentations.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned on an individual basis:·  Under general direction of management, develop and maintain cost accounting reporting systems.·  Work with Operations group to ensure the Bill of Materials and routings are accurate in QAD.·  Responsible for standard cost roll in simulation cost set quarterly.  Once the simulation rollup is approved by management, copy simulation settings into current standard.·  Responsible for monthly inventory closing, including processing month end journal entries and reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger.·  Review and prepare monthly analysis on work orders, purchase orders, and manufacturing variances.·  Provide flux analysis on COGS, direct and indirect manufacturing costs, including labor costs, burden costs, overhead costs, and other operational expenses.·  Oversee daily cycle count and year-end physical inventory count; prepare estimate inventory reserves on excess and obsolesce quarterly.·  Prepare GL reconciliations and assist in the month-end close process.·  Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.·  Manage Fixed Asset database using FAS100.  Prepare monthly depreciation entries and reconcile all Fixed Assets accounts, including CIP and Leasehold Improvement.  ·  Prepare monthly CA Use Tax accrual entry and files CA Sales/Use Tax return quarterly.·  Prepare annual Property Tax Return.·  Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliations.·  Work with external auditors and provide audit and tax schedules.·  Provide financial data and analyses to various departments as needed.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:·  Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience·  Minimum 5 years cost accountant experience·  2+ years experience in the medical device/pharmaceutical/biotech field or in a related area preferred·  2+ years experience in manufacturing environment required·  QAD experience preferred·  Proven record of working with OperationsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:·  No direct supervisory responsibilities currently, but will change as company growsIf interested in this position, please forward resume to karen.mills@parkerlynch.com Company: Parker and Lynch Status: Full Time, Employee Location: Silicon Valley, CA Salary: USD 100,000.00 /year Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
