An established Los Angeles real estate company is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant!  This fantastic career opportunity offers competitive benefits, recognition and opportunity for growth to Accounting Manager.  Position reports to the Assistant Controller.

 

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for multiple commercial, retail and residential properties and providing property management support with tenants and investors.  Primary duties include, but not limited to, the following:

 Monthly journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accountsPrepare variance analyses and process management feesConduct monthly financial review meetings with property managersPerform annual CAM reconciliations and tenant CAM billingsParticipate in the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting and cash flow  projectionsReal Estate tax billings, tax vs. GAAP timing variances, sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns and business licensesEnsure compliance with policies and procedures, and partnership and management agreements and debt covenants

 

Qualifications:Degree in Accounting4+ years experience in the real estate retail industryCAM experience and monthly close experience is a MUSTTax analysis experience requiredMicrosoft tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
