Senior Accountant/CPA-Real Estate Private Equity

Our client, a leading alternative asset manager providing investment advice to institutional clients and high net worth individuals globally, is seeking a Senior Accountant for their Real Estate Fund.  The candidate will primarily be responsible for accounting and bookkeeping for all the real estate funds and management companies at the firm. 

 

Responsibilities Include: 

· Monthly preparation of fund and management company financial packages

· Quarterly preparation of fund financial statements

· Daily bookkeeping of fund and management company activity

· Review of financial information with JV partner

· Quarterly coordination with JV partners and 3rd party CPA firm

· Work closely with the Controller and Investor Relations team to provide complete and accurate financial information for investors 

· Involvement with asset management team

· Completion of quarterly consultant reports

· Preparation of yearly consolidation of all entities

· Coordination for annual audits for all funds and management companies

· Main contact for auditors and auditor requests

· Accounting for a limited number of JV investments

· Assistance with implementation of new accounting systems.

 

Qualifications Include:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a top tier University with a GPA of 3.3 and above

· CPA mandatory

· 2-4 years of public accounting experience specializing in investment management or real estate strongly preferred

· Must be detail oriented and organized 

· Strong verbal communication skills

· Ability to work efficiently and comfortably in a team oriented environment.
