Senior Accountant Auditor
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT-AUDITOR - City of Fresno, CA - Salary: $4,657- $5,639/mo. The City of Fresno is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Accountant-Auditor, an experienced journey level position in the Accounting series. Work involves supervising the accounting and/or auditing of fiscal operations of a section. Incumbents receive complex and varied accounting and/or auditing assignments requiring the application of judgment to work situations where standard procedure does not apply. Duties may include conducting research, financial review and analysis for federal, state and local funding grants and capital projects. The eligible list created from this recruitment will be used to fill vacancies in various departments throughout the City of Fresno. REQUIRES: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or closely related field, which included or was supplemented by twenty (20) units of accounting course work; AND three years of professional accounting or auditing work. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT(S): Possession of a valid California Driver License is required at time of appointment.
