Location: San Francisco, CA 94101Your location:home » find a job » advanced search » job description Send this Job to a Friend Our client, the leading provider of accounting, financial reporting, administration and consulting, to the private equity sector is seeking a Senior Vice President to join their NYC office. The Senior Vice President position will be responsible for a broad spectrum of financial and accounting matters affecting our private equity clients. SVP candidates should have a strong background in partnership accounting in financial services, proven client management skills, and the ability to manage and lead a team of Managers in monitoring client deliverables and meeting deadlines. Specific ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement Management: Overall client engagement responsibility Overall responsibility for client relationships and client meetings Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to our clients Preparation of client service plans including annual budget Establish plan for new client setup and transitions Coordinate with key client contacts Coordinate, manage and monitor external audit process Staff Management: Coordinate overall work plan for accounting staff, which includes managing and monitoring work in progress Review all work product prepared by accounting staff Provide on-the-job coaching and training as necessary to the accounting team Coach and mentor staff and create a positive work environment Oversee staff training and development programs Assist in managing the accounting staff recruiting process Coordinate staffing with other Managers Prepare semi – annual staff reviewsReview/ Implementation: Review private equity fund client’s partnership agreements, PPM’s and other materials Implementation of fund structures on accounting system Preparation and implementation of distribution/waterfall models Review of limited partner and general partner allocations Review client financial statements, partner capital statements and other required financial reporting.Requirements College degree in Accounting or related field 10 + years experience in Accounting CPA designation a plus Knowledge of partnership accounting, private equity experience is a plus.
