We are looking for a Revenue & Billing Manager for a growing pre-IPO international software company in the mid-peninsula.  This role will be reporting to a very knowledgeable Director of Accounting with over 10 year of public and 10 years of private accounting expeirence.  This role will be responsible for all revenue related accounting issues including working with SOP 97-2, SOP 98-1, EITF 0021, etc.  This role will also be hands on taking on Billing issues for the organziation and be very hands on in developing and streamlining efficiencies for the organziation.  Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of experience in Revenue Recongition with a thorough knowledge of SOP 97-2, SOP 98-1, EITF 0021, etc.  CPA or public accounting experience would be a plus.  For consieration please apply directly to this posting.

Revenue & Billing Manager

The Revenue & Billing Manager is responsible for the entire revenue process from reviewing customer agreements, to invoicing, to revenue recognition, to accounts receivable and forecasting. The Revenue & Billing Manager will interact across geographies with sales, legal, professional services, customer support and external auditors.  


Responsibilities:
* Review all revenue agreements for adherence to revenue recognition guidelines and E2open standards

* Prepare customer invoices, manage accounts receivable and collections for large and complex arrangements

* Provide support for commissions calculations

* Maintain deferred revenue schedule and recognition of revenue against agreements
* Ensure revenue policy and recognition are in compliance with relevant accounting guidance and our E2open Inc policy
* Work closely with the sales team, legal, professional services and the external auditors to identify potential recognition and business issues and offer viable alternatives

* Manage monthly revenue accounting close efforts including assurance of accurate and timely results and preparation of auditable revenue and deferred revenue account reconciliations

* Prepare weekly invoice pipeline detail and maintain annual renewal backlog
* Own and make continuing improvements of the revenue recognition and accounts receivable business processes, including manual and system-based controls
* Prepare revenue forecasting, cash forecasting and business modeling to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting efforts including the annual revenue budget and monthly billing and revenue forecasting

* Maintain contract documentation (including contracts, purchase orders, client acceptances and other documentation required for review and audit of revenue recognition)

* Provide support for the accounts receivable collection effort as needed

* Work with other Finance team members to develop and implement processes and controls to help increase efficiencies and reduce business risks
