Regional Controller

Job Category:  AAccounting/Finance/Insurance Type:  Full Time, Employee Minimum Education:  Bachelor's Degree Regional Controller The Regional Controller will be responsible for accounting, finance and risk management functions. Supervises and mentors senior accounting, finance and administrative staff. Helps ensure regional financial and operational objectives are met, financial results for the region are accurately reported and corporate policies and procedures are followed. This position will report to Regional Finance Director. Responsibilities: Manage, develop and mentor the direct reports based on their respective job descriptions while promoting a cooperative work climate Actively contribute to achieving location, region, group and company organizational priorities Evaluate financial and operational performance of the locations within the region to identify opportunities for improvement and best practices. Oversee and participate in the preparation, support and completion of financial statements, budgets, and other financial reports for their region Timely and accurate processing of payroll, accounts payable, sales, cash, inventory control, fixed assets/investment and accounts receivable management Responsible for compliance with tax and business laws Travel 15-20% Requirements: 5-10 years of experience in a financial or accounting Supervisory experience is required Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills are essential Solid understanding of financial analysis techniques, costing methods and GAAP principles Contact UsManagement Recruiters of Elgin, Inc. 472 N.
