Project Manager, Payroll
This role supports the overall payroll function by ensuring compliance with both internal and external payroll requirements. Ensures that both Company and Department policies & procedures are properly followed and maintained. This key team position often functions independently of the Payroll Operations and Payroll Analysis groups to maintain properly balanced oversight of all payroll functions. Manages or participates in all payroll-related projects and initiatives and serves as a key liaison to other LPL Departments and the payroll system vendor. Essential Functions: Position is responsible for managing: Escalated Payroll Issues; Payroll Internal Audit, FLSA /State wage & hour laws; Sarbanes Oxley Payroll Compliance; State/Local reciprocity compliance; Interface of Payroll crossover elements for Human Resources & Benefits Departments; Payroll vendor relationship; Key tasks for a new Payroll and Time & Attendance implementation (Projected to go live 1/1/2009) including unit & integration testing and data cleansing; Oversight of payroll-related elements of business acquisitions & dispositions. Assist with Payroll Operations as needed for payroll production. Additional department tasks as needed. 10+ years of large payroll (5,000+ pays) hands-on experience managing multiple concurrent projects. Solid payroll testing background with keen attention to detail. 50-state payroll experience with deep payroll tax knowledge. Advanced/Expert user of Microsoft Office Suite. Certified Payroll Professional and payroll audit experience preferred. ADP Enterprise a plus. We offer an excellent salary and benefits package.
