Payroll Tax Accountant

Position Summary:The Senior Payroll Tax Accountant is knowledgeable of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and applies basic concepts in all aspects of work.The Senior Payroll Tax Accountant is knowledgeable of Internal Controls and both utilizes and supports these systems through daily accounting activities.The Senior Payroll Tax Accountant exhibits keen analytical skills.The Senior Payroll Tax Accountant has knowledge and experience in the application of accounting procedures including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and basic financial reports. An associate’s degree or related work experience. Bachelors’ degree in a related field is desirable. Coursework related to Accounting principles.  Position requires a minimum of 4 years experience in a larger organization processing high volume payroll. Proficiency in ADP payroll packages (PAY Xpert, HRB etc) required. Individual must possess excellent computer skills including complex spreadsheet development and report writing capabilities. Must have good understanding of GAAP accounting and internal controls. Candidate should be accurate and detailed oriented.
