Payroll Processor

The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll in a timely manner and to ensure that all employees receive an accurate paycheck on a weekly or bi-weekly processing cycle.Additional responsibility for auditing and and verifying payroll output.

 

-Verify payroll processing calendar data.  Create pay sheets.  Assist with the pre-close payroll auditing. Calculate, transmit and clear payroll within prescribed time deadlines.

-Calculate and process weekly and bi-weekly time and attendance using automated timekeeping system.  Maintain absence logs, balance totals and audit reports.

-Input payroll information for new hires including tax set up, W4’s, Direct Deposit information. Input information regarding terminations, salary changes, transfers, promotions, and validate accuracy. 

-Review requests for voids and adjustments.  Process adjustments for employee hours, earnings, etc. as necessary. 

-Assist in various research and reconciliation projects.

-Prepare and audit Manual Check Requests as needed.

 

Knowledge/Skills and Experience:

 

-Three to five years payroll experience.

-Strong payroll systems background (ADP preferred).

-Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.

-Knowledgeable about State and Federal wage and tax laws.

-Integrity and confidentiality in handling payroll information is a must.
