These professionals include former state tax auditors and administrators, industry personnel, tax practitioners, accounting specialists, and technology personnel with numerous years of multistate tax experience. Collectively, our team has significant experience with the requirements and nuances of jurisdictions in all 50 states. Multistate Tax professionals help our clients manage state tax liability and such challenges as states with unique tax laws, the enforcement focus of state departments of revenue, the growing number of tax audits, and increased merger and acquisition activity. Our specific services include business restructuring, credits and incentives, sales and use tax, sales and use tax outsourcing, property tax, state income and franchise tax, state strategic tax review, and state tax controversy. We are currently seeking a Multistate Tax Consultant to join our team.  Responsibilities include: - Providing tax research and analysis for clients in diverse industries - Preparing tax returns - Keeping up-to-date on current tax practices and technical issues - A good understanding and working knowledge of the client's business and tax systems - Clearing open items relating to assigned areas and meeting client deadlines - Communicating difficulties in a timely fashion and identify and communicate issues that require the immediate attention of the Senior or others on the engagement team - Actively participating in the decision making on project teams - Minimum of one or more years experience in preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns, preferably within the Big 4 and/or a law firm - Strong research, written, and verbal communication skills - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business related field About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
