Media Auditor
A not-for-profit organization since 1931, BPA Worldwide is headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut. BPA has the largest membership of any media-auditing organization in the world, spanning more than 25 countries. Media members/applicants include B-to-B publications and consumer magazines, plus newspapers, Web sites, events, email newsletters, databases, wireless and other advertiser-supported media. BPA’s membership also includes advertisers and agencies. We have seven offices worldwide.
At our worldwide headquarters, located in Shelton, CT, we are seeking candidates to fill the position of Media Auditor.
By applying standardized BPA auditing procedures, an entry-level auditor is able to establish compliance with Bylaws & Rules and perform in-depth marketing analyses verifying circulation and market penetration claims of print and electronic media companies.
Advertisers, advertising agencies and publishers want to establish ground rules for reporting circulation statistics. Enforce BPA rules as well as provide standardized audited circulation information to buyers and sellers of print and electronic media advertising for the sale of credibility are BPA's goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Conduct detailed circulation audits using BPA specific rules and bylaws, apply and interpret BPA policies and procedures and recommend areas of improvement,
· Verify audience (subscriber) demographic data for the publishing and electronic media industries, ability to be firm and persistent while maintaining an appropriate degree of professionalism,
· Provide consulting services to members,
· Work within a team environment to achieve corporate growth goals,
· Manage your own audit completion schedule, ensure timely conclusion of audit,
· Must adapt quickly to different working environments and management styles,
· The Auditor position may require some domestic (US) travel.
Position Qualifications:
· 4-year college degree, minimum requirement for the position, any discipline
· Proficient in MS Applications, Excel - Spreadsheet proficiency a must
· Strong analytical aptitude, inquisitive nature & enjoys working with math/numbers
· Organized individual with a detail-oriented nature
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Strong interpersonal and excellent written communication skills
· Proven ability to work independently under minimal supervision to achieve team goals
