Job Description Manager of Finance Position Summary: This position is responsible for the daily management of the Accounting Department to insure accurate and timely collection and reporting of financial data, as well as providing support to the Director of Finance on FP&A activities. The essential duties and responsibilities of the Manager of Finance include, but are not limited to, the following: · Daily supervision of accounting staff in the areas of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory control, payroll, sales tax reporting and order entry · Coordinating the monthly financial close process, including account reconciliation and the loading of financial data into the corporate consolidation system· Providing meaningful internal management reporting· Supporting the establishment and maintenance of proper systems and controls in the business (SOX, GAAP compliance)· Providing assistance on local tax issues and periodic internal/external audits· Providing timely responses to ad-hoc corporate information requests· Supporting FP&A activities, including Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development, forecasting and ad-hoc financial analysis· Supporting Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives as needed Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: · BS degree in either Accounting or Finance is required· CPA strongly preferred· Minimum 7 years professional experience, preferably in a high tech manufacturing environment· Minimum of 3 years of management/supervisory experience required· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written · Experience implementing and/or maintaining SOX compliance· Proven track record of meeting critical deadlines, handling multiple priorities and working well under pressure· Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills· Outstanding organizational, planning, process development, presentation and interpersonal skills· Ability to function in a complex business environment, working as a partner with other business functions such as Senior Management, Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Research and Development· Advanced skills in using MS products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint· Experience working with an ERP software system is required, with experience in Great Plains and HFM highly desired· Willingness to work overtime as needed Education: BachelorsJob Level: Manager
