Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis

Summary: 

Our client has an opening for a dynamic and experienced individual to work as a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Our client is a Fortune 100 company based in Burbank, CA that provides diversified worldwide entertainment services.  This position will be responsible for developing and managing key finance initiatives including strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting for the organization. This position will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to work in a leadership role within a fast-paced high profile environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

· Leadership and analytical support roles in the Strategic Plan, Budgeting and Forecasting processes

· Develop and enhance financial planning models (e.g. budget and forecasts).

· Develop worldwide financial plans, and work with key stakeholders and other finance team members to develop plans/assumptions.

· Perform financial analysis to improve effectiveness of financial planning assumptions/results.

· Prepare financial reports supporting financial plans and related analysis

· Support monthly/quarterly and ad-hoc reporting requirements 

· Serve as Finance Super User for reporting system

· Obtain and analyze performance to peers and trend analysis to support financial planning and performance management

· Financial planning process improvement for effectiveness and efficiency

 

Qualifications:

 

· Ideal candidate will be an MBA from a top-tier university with 3-5 years of work experience prior to business school, top undergraduate university

· Demonstrated analytical ability

· Strong communication skills

· Pre-MBA experience in consulting, consumer products, advertising, marketing and/or brand management preferred, with a minimum of 1-3 years experience in financial analysis, planning and budgeting

· Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic; self-motivated

· Project orientation and ability to handle simultaneous functions

· Proven effectiveness working in a demanding, entrepreneurial environment

· Advanced MS Excel skills, including creating macros and VB scripts

· Development of MS Access database and supporting queries

 

Education/Experience:

Master's degree (M.B.A.) or equivalent and 3-5 years related experience and/or training preferred.
