Job Description We are seeking a Manager, Financial Analysis to join our Lodging Staff Operations – Sales Force One Financial Support Department located in our corporate headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. This professional will play an integral role in providing financial support to Sales & Marketing and Finance business leaders by supporting the financial, accounting and measurement processes related to Sales Force One implementation and launch for properties and ownership groups. He/she will work to translate business priorities and program requirements into financial plans, actions and work product to drive maximum value and to mitigate risk for Marriott International. Specifically, he/she will collaborate with leaders in Business Financial Analysis, in Sales, Planning & Support, in Human Resources and in the Regional Market organizations to:• Support efforts to compile, analyze, model and interpret information in support of Sales Force One.• Support the work efforts of a matrixed team of senior managers/senior financial analysts to provide actionable information.• Design optimal solutions to address critical business issues using strong analytical skills and finance knowledge, constantly monitoring business trends to identify opportunities and threats to goals.• Support the development and implementation of appropriate accounting, control and measurement processes for the shared service units launched as a part of Sales Force One.• Assist in implementing allocations processes to ensure that above property costs are appropriately spread in the markets implementing Sales Force One. Evaluate and continuously improve the cost distribution processes and evolve the process to incorporate learning from each launch.• Post launch, monitor each market’s performance on modeled/budgeted implementation costs and respond to changes in the actual delivery compared to business plans; suggest appropriate changes to add value and minimize costs.• Post launch, support adequate accounting and control processes in place for the continuing SFO operations.• Ensure that the collective financial and accounting information and reporting needs of his/her clients systems are met through the standardized reports generated by Global Accounting Services and Centers of Expertise, and other sources. He/she will leverage the analytical capabilities within the Lodging Staff Operations Business Operations Financial Analysis group to support the custom financial reporting and analysis needs of his/her client system, • Prepare post implementation analysis (post audit) of Sale Force One implementations.• Maintain strong relationships with Sales & Marketing leaders, Global Finance leaders, and other key stakeholders in order to effectively influence key business decisions and financial outcomes, and optimize overall work effectiveness.• Support billing of up-front implementation costs to owners of hotels joining SFO markets subsequent to the initial deployment.• Support the financial requirements of other projects as assigned. He/She must be adept at tapping diverse sources of information, identifying profitable opportunities, anticipating challenges, and devising and executing breakthrough strategies to deliver against the Sales Force One strategy.
