Logistics Analyst - Inventory
Headquartered in San Diego, CA (Vista), DJO is a global provider of medical devices that provide solutions for musculoskeletal health, vascular health and pain management. We are currently seeking a Logistics Analyst.
This highly motivated individual will provide support for CMF inventory control and analysis. Responsibilities will include daily analysis of system inventory integrity, answering the phone and e-mail communication from sales representatives and assisting with inventory requests, placing transfer orders, processing inventory receipts and adjustments, setup new and processing termination of sales representative consignment inventory accounts, and authorizing returns and transfers of inventory. The inventory audit process for active accounts will include communications and coordination with sales representatives and their agents, analysis and reconciliation of physical count vs. system inventory figures, the calculation of proper stocking levels (par) and the processing of appropriate inventory adjustments. This person will be responsible for lot and serial number integrity of CMF inventory, an FDA regulated Class III medical device.
The successful candidate will possess strong communications and analytical skills and an understanding of ERP systems and relational databases as related to inventory and accounting. This person will act as the trouble-shooter for unique clinic inventory issues as they arise and will be interacting with personnel in the field and IT department on a regular basis to resolve them. Will perform other ad hoc analysis and reporting as directed by the Logistics Department Manager. Requirements:
Education Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience Solid understanding of inventory control and cost accounting principles is required. Five years of inventory control, financial analysis or similar experience is preferred. Experience using ERP software and advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Access are required. Experience using JD Edwards, RDBMS, SQL and VBA strongly is preferred. Strong customer service skills are required. This person must display a positive attitude. The ability to work independently with minimum supervision is required.
