Legal Administrative Support
Job Purpose:
Our clients are plaintiff and defense attorneys involved in personal injury litigation. We provide engineering analysis and support for either civil or criminal legal cases that are in litigation. To do that, we provide and conduct accident reconstruction to help determine legal responsibility for the fault in their litigation. You will be assisting in developing and monitoring the processes involved in providing that legal and litigation support. You will help to supervise the administrative and technical support staff for the company. Prior personal injury knowledge, or basic transportation or traffic engineering knowledge, would be a plus, but is not necessary. The important "must have" is an ability to work closely with others and motivate them to produce a high quality product within a reasonable time.
Duties:
* Assists in development of our litigation support for active legal cases. Assists in reviewing information from the executive operations manager and is responsible for supervision of technical and administrative staff for all administration functions in the company.
* Assists firm by supervising the personnel providing documentation review and the summarization of legal documents in the subject litigation.
* Enhances firm's effectiveness by monitoring the client's legal case progress; alerting management to issues requiring their attention; maintaining contact with client attorneys; contributing information to the team case review; completing special projects; providing supervision of administrative support staff.
* Will be improving your personal job knowledge by participating in both in-house and outside educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

The ideal candidate will be able to function in the traffic accident litigation arena, possess good "common" sense skills, and quickly be able to appropriately analyze a situation when presented with available post accident information. Our training program will allow you to take documentation and site observations and derive the cause and responsibility for various types of serious traffic accidents. Accidents that we analyze include vehicle/vehicle accidents, vehicle/pedestrian, large truck, motorcycle, highway-rail crossing, and trip and fall accidents. We provide accident reconstruction and human factors analysis, and utilize various engineering disciplines including traffic engineering, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydraulics engineering, and construction engineering. As we analyze accidents that occur on a roadway, we may reconstruct the accident and/or look at proper traffic control devices for both temporary or work zone use, as well as permanent placement on new and existing roads.
