International Accounting Manager

 

We are a Multi Billion Dollar company with a large International prescence and are looking for a talented individual to join our growing organization.

 

Duties:

Ensure US GAAP reporting standards and corporate policies are followed • Perform analytically review of monthly submissions from foreign subsidiaries • Oversee monthly closing process that related to international accounting areas including but not limited to the timeliness of TB submission from foreign subsidiaries, review various consolidated analysis prepared by the international Accountants and ensure the accuracy of all month end reports provided from the countries. • Assist the International Controller and the Regional Controllers to address the day to day accounting issues at country level, • Participate various projects Supervisory • Responsible for managing the International Accounting team of eight people with four direct reports at the corporate office. Process and Controls • Ensure adoptions of best practice ideas from all regions and ensure that corporate office best practices are fed back to all regions for adoption elsewhere • "5" day close — continue to work towards this goal • Ensure that various reconciliations and account analysis are performed timely • Provide SOX support • Ensure local statutory reporting compliance System • Help to identify opportunities for automation / integration considering the corporate IT strategy ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS • Interacts with all levels throughout organization. • Report directly into the Corporate Office — Director, International Controller

Requirements:  

 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a CPA and / or MBA preferred • International Accounting experience is required with knowledge in FASB 52 • Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX • Experience with system implementation with large ERP system (Oracle, SAP, etc) is a plus • Strong Excel skill is required • Strong communication skill and proficiency in speaking and writing English • Minimum with 2 to 5 years managerial experience • Minimum travel to foreign countries up to 10% a year or as needed Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation Strong customer and results orientation • Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity • Ability to function as an effective team member • Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves PHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
