IT Specialist, Federal Advisory Services

The Advisory Services team strives to help the federal government improve on both regulatory demands and their strategic approach to performance and risk management. Advisory professionals are able to provide relevant industry and functional skills where they need them most. We are currently seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join us in our Washington, DC office. IT Advisory Services (ITA) professionals assess, design, and combine leading information management and operational processes, approaches, technologies, and controls to help enable sustained business value and risk management in support of the business. Information Technology (IT) organizations and their leaders often need a business focus that helps enable them to better organize and prioritize their IT investments based on factors including business value created, return on investments, and management of risk. Responsibilities for both positions: * Deliver IT or business management solutions to federal clients * Maintain broad and deep relationship base with key clients who buy IT and business management services * Work on multiple projects, identify and solve problems, communicate with clients and management Additional responsibility for Senior Associate: * Lead the planning and account management activities in target agencies, including developing account penetration plans and strategies Qualifications for both positions: * BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university * Eligible to obtain a security clearance within a reasonable amount of time. Obtaining clearance may include being subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. * Four years of progressive experience in the IT field * Two years experience in large scale complex projects * Previous experience in a client delivery role including building and maintaining successful client relationships at various levels * Previous experience in developing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences at multiple organizational levels * Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience with major acquisitions, software development or technology management desired * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired Additional qualification for Senior Associate: * Significant experience providing IT Advisory services to federal entities KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
