IT Audit Analyst

The Mergis Group is seeking candidates with 3-5 years recent experience.  As the IT Audit Analyst you will perform functions to test, document, review, and evaluate internal IT controls, as well as regulatory controls, within the limits of standard or accepted practice. Successful candidates will possess a:·          Broad understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley and IT audit methodologies and processes.·          Broad understanding of various IT processes, technologies and industry best practices, procedures and mythologies.·          Knowledge of all areas of Information Technology including Operations, Infrastructure, Security, Application Development, and Service & Support.·           This role will be responsible to:·          Independently develop test plans and perform testing of audit tests and controls.·          Independently prepare comprehensive, well written, clear and concise audit reports.     ·          Review process documentation and perform walkthroughs and test of controls.  ·          Perform risk assessments as part of the planning process. ·          Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerabilities and risks and is able to identify   areas of improvements.    Knowledge/Skills/Education:  ·          Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar degree, or equivalent job experience. ·          3-5 years in IT and/or IT Audit with progressive experience.  ·          Excellent oral and written communication skills.  ·          Must have knowledge of both AS400 and windows platforms.  ·          CISA and/or CISM certification preferred Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
