Human Resource Generalist Needed for Large, Regional CPA firm in Los Angeles

POSITION PURPOSE

Stonefield Josephson is looking for an outstanding professional to join our team in the role of Human Resource Generalist. Working collaboratively and strategically with the Director of HR, the ideal candidate would be a self-starter who has a strong professional demeanor who consistently projects a high energy level and a "can do" attitude. The HR Generalist will identify and address solutions that result in the proactive development of HR programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

·  Responsible for benefits administration, Worker's Compensation and other human resource processes including: monthly benefit bills, open enrollment, FMLA, disability, and immigration and visa processing.

·  Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

·  Maintain records on sick leave, vacation and other absences.

·  Assist with orientation sessions for new employees to explain personnel policies, compensation and benefit programs. Serves as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers.

·  Maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems

·  Maintain benefit records and prepares documents necessary for implementing benefit coverage.

·  Maintain employee files and records; assures completeness of files.

·  Oversee campus recruiting events and maintains relationship with university contacts, student organizations and other recruitment sources.

·  Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree preferred; PHR certification a plus and tlasgalia-f4ye-e--- years of human resource experience greatly desired.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

·  Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to work confidently with staff at all levels within an organization.

·  Ability to diagnose problems and recommend and implement appropriate solutions.

·  Solid analytical skills.

·  Strong team philosophy; proven ability to work positively, collaboratively and professionally within a team and across an organization.

·  Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Outlook and Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Power Point.

·  Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws.

·  Strong organizational skills; ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities.
