Senior SOX Compliance Analyst

As a Senior Compliance Analyst, you’ll be responsible for SOX testing and business process improvement projects, as part of the total SOX compliance plan. You will engaged in SOX related activities including planning; testing of key accounts, processes and controls; working closely with process owners through all levels of the Company to establish management self-testing and promote greater ownership of the process narratives; coordinating the testing, including working with co-sourced service providers and the external auditors; assisting management in the development of appropriate remediation and conducting training and presentations to and with process owners.

Job Qualifications

Understanding of internal control concepts and experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various business processes/areas/functions.
Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance, and provide appropriate direction to other team members.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management.
Exhibit the leadership skills needed to sell ideas and obtain management buy-in for constructive change.
Understanding of internal auditing standards, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, COSO, COBIT and risk assessment practices.
Understanding of the technical aspects of accounting and financial reporting.
Experience in performing multiple projects and working with varying team members.
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of related experience required.
CPA or CIA designation preferred.
Prior industry experience is a plus.
