Financial Reporting Manager

Trex is a privately owned High-Tech company specializing in developing optical, RF/millimeter wave, and CMOS technology for a variety of government and commercial customers.  The company has operating divisions in San Diego, California, Hawaii, New Mexico and Massachusetts.  The Headquarters located in San Diego is looking for an experienced FINANCIAL REPORTING MANAGER with U.S. Citizenship to start immediately.

 

The FINANCIAL REPORTING MANAGER is responsible for managing the external financial reporting function for the privately held parent Company and its multiple subsidiaries as well as for facilitating internal reporting requirements.  This position will report directly to the Director of Finance.

 

The position related duties include, but are not limited to, the following;

Ø  Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements; including consolidations and inter-company transactions.

Ø  Coordination of four separate subsidiary audits as well as consolidated audits.

Ø  Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for investors and financial institutions.

Ø  Analysis and implementation of changing accounting pronouncements.

Ø  Implementation and maintenance of internal control procedures.

Ø  Assist with reporting functions required to maintain tax compliance as well as the creation of internal reports such as forecasting and operational accounting analysis.

Ø  Communication with Subsidiaries and Department Heads in order to ensure timely and accurate reporting as well as to assist with problem resolution and/or process improvements.

 

EDUCTION/EXPERIENCE:

Ø  United States of America citizenship required.

Ø  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.

Ø  Minimum of 6 - 10 years prior experience in Accounting/Finance required.

Ø  Operational knowledge in computerized accounting systems, spreadsheets and ability with keyboard and numeric data entry required.

Ø  Certified Public Accountant certification with public accounting experience required.

 

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Ø  Strong oral and written business communication skills.

Ø  Highly motivated with a positive team-oriented attitude

Ø  Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and able to manage/meet tight deadlines.

Ø  Ability to evaluate, plan and execute operational changes.
