We are currently looking for the best talent available for a Financial Systems Analyst-Accounts Receivable with a proven track record in technology based solutions for an international corporation, and is located at our office in New Britain CT. The Financial Systems Analyst – Accounts Receivable works with business partners to identify, implement and support technology based business transformation projects. Define functional requirements for systems projects and translate them into profitable business solutions. Work closely with end users, business units, and other IT resources in all stages of project life cycle, including investigation, ROI/payback analysis, design, testing, user validation, and implementation to ensure business requirements are successfully implemented.
Major Responsibilities:
· Work with key business users to evaluate opportunities to increase productivity, reduce cost, and to automate, simplify, and standardize processes
· Implement innovative technology based solutions that deliver measurable benefits to the business
· Subject matter expert for Finance applications and processes, with a focus on Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Credit, Collections, and Dispute Management
· Consult with end users to identify project objectives, business requirements, business sponsors, managers, and process experts
· Document detailed requirements and justification, including process flow, cost/benefit, and system alternatives
· Prepare project plans, work and cost estimates, schedules, and communication to stakeholders
· Obtain necessary approvals, and implement technology projects to ensure goals are accomplished within prescribed time frame and cost
· Respond to requests for service and assistance
· Provide leadership and guidance for system users and support resources
Knowledge/Skills:
· Solid knowledge of Financial and Accounting processes and applications with a focus on Accounts Receivable - Cash Application, Credit, Collections, and Dispute Management processes.
· Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
· Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
· Possesses ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively
· Engages in cross functional thinking around process designs and implementation planning
· Ability to interact with and positively influence employee’s at all levels within the organization
Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Finance/Accounting
· SAP experience preferred
· Lean/Value Stream Mapping experience a plus
· Experience managing systems projects in a global business environment
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
