PPC operations also include Paramount Digital Entertainment, Paramount Home Entertainment, Paramount Pictures International, Paramount Licensing Inc., Paramount Studios and Worldwide Television Distribution.Description:The Director, Financial Reporting & Internal Controls ensures that Paramount Home Entertainment International (PHEI) monthly P&L reporting is timely, accurate and complete, and that the business unit is compliant with all financial policies and procedures. Responsibilities of the Director, Financial Reporting & Internal Controls will include the monthly P&L analysis and preparation of variance explanations, and maintaining and updating PHEI?s financial policies and procedures. The position reports to the SVP, International Controller and there will be significant interaction with and exposure to senior management throughout the organization.Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:*Maintain and update all PHEI Policies and Procedures*Work closely with all PHEI offices to ensure compliance with PHEI policies and procedures, and SOX*Prepare monthly P&L variance analysis which includes the results of operations in 14 countries plus the PHEI Head Office*Continuously improve monthly financial reporting process*Assist with quarter end reporting to PwC*Ensure that all internal and external audit control improvement recommendations are implemented within a reasonable timeframe*Research and document all accounting pronouncements applicable to PHEI*Maintain SAP user access control matrix for PHEI*Work independently to coordinate and communicate internal control issues to the various PHEI territories, liaising with senior management throughout PHEI and representing the SVP, International Controller as necessary*Provide internal controls advice for business partners throughout PHEI*Keep up-to-date on internal controls leading practices and help to formulate and implement them throughout PHEI*Meet corporate deadlines as relevant*Be a role model for the Viacom Code of Conduct and demonstrate the highest ethical standards*Ensure timely, accurate and complete monthly P&L reporting, and compliance with SOX and US GAAP reporting requirementsQualifications:Basic qualifications:*College degree in Finance or Accounting and minimum ten years experience*Entertainment studio experience required *Ability to travel internationally (up to 10%)*Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Visio, and Powerpoint Desired skills:*International experience preferred*Public accounting background (preferably with the Big Four) with CPA or similar certification preferred*Internal audit and SOX experience at an advanced level preferred*Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organization and facilitate change*Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment*Ability to work independently within the group while working collaboratively as needed and at all levels throughout the organizationEligibility requirements:* Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation* Must be able to show eligibility to work in the United StatesParamount Pictures is an Equal Opportunity EmployerSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Hollywood, CAJob Number: 5393Company URL: http://www.paramount.com/careers
