Hagerty Consulting is looking for exceptional individuals to join us in helping communities recover from disasters. Given the damage caused by recent hurricanes we have an immediate need for skilled, motivated, and flexible professionals who are ready to deploy to disaster areas to help communities and individuals recover. We are specifically looking for individuals who are able, upon being notified, to deploy within 24 to 72 hours to a disaster site. While experience with FEMA recovery programs is desirable it is not required.

What we do
Hagerty Consulting works with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide consultants to support FEMA’s disaster recovery work anywhere in the U.S. Hagerty is known for delivering high-performing professionals skilled in one or more of the following areas: Financial Analysis; Accounting; Database Development / Management; Temporary/Affordable Housing; Grants Management.
Our consultants have served in key roles in each of the largest disaster recovery efforts in the last 10 years. They have:
· led teams preparing grant documents to provide recovery assistance to communities;
· estimated costs for emergency response activities;
· re-engineered business processes to speed the delivery of disaster assistance;
· developed and managed databases to track applications for disaster assistance;
· worked with local communities and individuals to provide temporary disaster housing;
· helped communities develop long-term recovery plans.
Who we are looking for
Interested candidates should:
· Possess a degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Urban / City Planning or a related discipline.
· Be a U.S. citizen and be able to successfully complete a background and criminal check.
· Have 1 - 3 years work experience demonstrating strong core competencies in the areas of analysis, written and verbal communication, and presentation.
· Be able to commit to an initial 3 – 6 month assignment. “Rotation” trips home occur every 30 days after an initial deployment of 30 days.
Compensation
Selected candidates will be paid a competitive hourly rate plus per diem for lodging and meals.
