Economic Consulting - Analyst or Associate position - Wright Economics

Wright Economics is a young firm whose principals have a world class reputation in the field of Economic Consulting with a specialty of Transfer Pricing. Transfer pricing refers to the pricing of assets, tangible and intangible property, services, and funds that are transferred within an organization, generally across international borders.  It is essential for multinational companies to properly evaluate and price these transactions for international tax purposes. At Wright Economics, we evaluate and analyze the transfer pricing practices of our clients (primarily Fortune 500 companies) and assist them in a broad range of planning, compliance, and controversy issues.

As an analyst or associate at Wright Economics, you will have a special opportunity to join a small firm where you can work directly with our principal economists, including our President, Deloris Wright, and directly with clients based in many countries.

Wright Economics is a growing company and will be looking to recruit Analysts/Associates for our Denver office (located in Golden, CO).  The position requires knowledge of economic concepts as well as command of a broad range of research and quantitative skills. The ability to think creatively to apply economic concepts in novel situations is part of the job.  Other valuable skills include strong writing ability, research experience, and presentation and communication skills. We expect our entry-level analysts to learn quickly, apply prior knowledge to current situations, solve problems, manage time, prioritize tasks, and communicate well with peers, senior staff, and clients. No previous transfer pricing experience is required, though knowledge of the subject is a benefit.

Responsibilities:  Analyzing economic and financial data Conducting industry, market structure, and comparable company studies; Reviewing and summarizing analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press Performing database and interview-based research in person and through the internet. Assisting in the production and development of research summaries, expert reports, and the presentation of our findings Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses

 

Qualifications: 

Candidates for Analyst positions should hold an undergraduate degree in economics or finance (an MA or MBA is a plus). Applicants should also have strong quantitative and analytic, presentation, and communication skills.  Starting salary isbased on degree level and experience.
