Job Category: AAccounting/Finance/Insurance Type: Full Time, Employee Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree DIRECTOR, INTERNAL AUDIT PURPOSE:My client is looking for an exceptional experienced Audit Director within or to relocate to Wisconsin who is self-motivated and ready for a unique challenge. You will work autonomously on-site with senior staff, including the Corporate Controller, CFO and Governance Committee, to examine and evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of the internal controls. Implementation and sustaining SOX compliance will be a critical function. JOB DUTIES: Develop new internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. Review the reliability and integrity of financial/operating information to ensure proper identification, classification and reporting of information. Review the process for ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Coordinate with the Information Technology Department to ensure that the automated controls are in place and operating effectively. Review procedures and process flow within Finance and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and improve quality. Consult management on the appropriate system of controls and assist in incorporating an adequate control structure to new systems and processes. Coordinate attestation audit efforts with the external auditors. Involvement with strategic initiatives and due diligence procedures as needed. Defines and documents individual processes within sphere of control. Ensures that others are cross trained as back-ups on processes within the department. Identifies waste and rework and enacts plan to improve the deficiency. Checks satisfaction of internal customers through use of quality tools and metrics. MOST CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITY:You will set up the internal audit function for the entire company; this will include leading the SOX readiness process and after compliance will focus on the monitoring and sustainment of SOX compliance. You will create and development own internal audit program that will include domestic and foreign operations. QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business and CPA certification is required 7+ years of audit and/or finance experience in the manufacturing sector CIA, MBA with Finance or Accounting concentration preferred RELOCATION:Because this position is critical to the organization and because we offer a very solid relocation package, qualified audit professionals willing to relocate to Madison, WI are strongly encouraged to apply.
