DIRECTOR - SOX
WELL KNOWN COMPANY IN NORTHERN VA, IS SEARCHING FOR DIRECTOR OF SOXDUTIES:• Establish annual consolidated SOX approach and scoping and annual initiatives for business units • Conduct ongoing development and maintenance of the SOX Compliance System • Monitor quarterly self assessments by the business units • Consolidate and aggregate deficiencies across the company and establish plan for communicating QA results and monitoring progress with the operating units • Test key company level controls and key process/transaction level controls for Corporate • Coordinate efforts with IT Security and Privacy on 404 scope and approach related to IT general computer controls • Coordinate efforts with Internal Audit on 404 approach and management testing • Manage coordination with external auditors on approach, timeline, levels of reliance, quarterly assessments by units, reporting and deficiency evaluation/aggregation • Manage external resource needs (consultants) for SOX PMO Group • Updating of corporate policy manual; development of companywide accounting policies; companywide implementation plans for new accounting standards • Assist with review of unit reporting packages on a quarterly basis Requirements: • CPA license required • Bachelors Degree in related field; Masters Degree strongly desired Managerial experience required • At least 10-15 years total overall experience preferred • 8-10 years of accounting/audit experience in a large multi-national, multi-business unit environment • Strong audit skills and experience in public accounting • Extensive experience in SOX 404 compliance and implementation required • Knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS required.
