Cost Accountant - Please call 562-809-1419Description: Do you have cost accounting experience in a Manufacturing Industry? Volt Services Group has partnered up with a large manufacturing and distributing company in the City of Monterey Park. They are in need of a Cost Accountant that will be responsible for determining standard unit product costs, inventory valuation, pricing support and forecasts support. They will also be responsible for the annual physical inventory, the quarterly SOX404 reviews as they pertain to the cost accounting area and the daily cycle count process and for developing and conducting moderately complex cost audits to aid management in making operating decisions. Duties include ensuring compliance with all accounting policies and procedures in line with GAAP. Assist in supporting internal and external audits as required. Implementation of strong internal control processes and procedures in line with Sarbanes Oxley Act to ensure robust control environment across the site. Responsible for determining standard unit product costs, inventory valuation, pricing support and forecast support. Responsible for the annual physical inventory, the quarterly work order aging review and the daily cycle count process. Audit and approve cycle counts on a weekly basis. Responsible for month -end, quarter -end and year -end closing process, as it relates to cost accounting. Assist in various account reconciliation and reports in support of General Ledger, including CASB Unallowable Expenses. Assist in collections of costs, and preparation of claim reports. Requirements: Must have a Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent. Must be able to plan, organize and coordinate to ensure all entries to the general ledger, financial statements, and other required report due dates are met and accurate. Must be able to manage multiple, conflicting priorities.
