Corporate Receptionist
Dimensional Fund Advisors (www.dimensional.com) is an investment management firm that applies academic research to the practical world of investing. Working years ahead of traditional asset managers, the firm inaugurated its strategies with early research into the stronger performance of small cap stocks. The mission of Dimensional is to deliver the performance of capital markets and increase returns through advanced portfolio design and trading.
Our objective is to help clients structure globally diversified portfolios and to add value through engineering and trading. Dimensional is owned primarily by employees and directors, and manages assets exclusively for institutional investors and the clients of registered financial advisors. From offices in Santa Monica, Austin, London, and Sydney, our professional staff supervises portfolios twenty-four hours a day.
Job Description:
The Receptionist will be responsible for maintaining front desk duties while fielding calls and visitors
Responsibilities/Duties:
-Answer and route incoming calls
-Greet visitors and escort them to appropriate locations
-Coordinate staff scheduling
-Maintain personnel whereabouts database
-Schedule and update conference room reservations
-Assist with outgoing parcels via FedEx, UPS, and USPS as needed
-Deliver incoming parcels, faxes, and inter-office correspondence
-Special projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
-Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
-Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
-Able to work well under pressure
-Able to work well in a team environment
-Good problem solving skills
-Capable of managing multiple projects
-Detail oriented and organized
-Flexible
-Professional appearance and demeanor
-Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
-At least 5 years of office or receptionist experience in a corporate environment
