Corporate Controller - startup
Corporate Controller
We are currently working with a well funded late stage start up media company backed by several of the world’s largest media companies and leading VCs. The Controller will be the first key hire for finance under the direction of the CFO and will be instrumental in building the department as well as implementing key processes and procedures, as well as converting from Quickbooks to a scalable ERP system. This position goes beyond the traditional controllership function as the Controller will partner with senior management and all areas of the company to better understand the overall business, providing guidance on financial matters, including the development of budgets and forecasts, financial modeling, M&A analysis, and developing pricing models for the sales organization. This position will provide the Controller with a unique opportunity to get involved with strategic aspects of the business.
Our client is looking for a bright up and comer who is ready to move up to the next level as Corporate Controller. The ideal candidate will be an individual who has spent several years in public accounting and in an operational accounting role in industry as an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller and is ready to move up to the next level. This is an entrepreneurial environment so we are looking for an individual with good business acumen, ability to partner with senior management across all functions, and a proactive ability to work with minimal guidance. Previous start-up experience is a plus as it demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic environment. This is a great opportunity for a recent Big 4 or local firm auditor who has a couple of years of experience ready to move to the next level.
If you are ready for a new and exciting opportunity and help build an organization and company which is highly anticipated to do well, please send us your resume: staffing@venturepointstaffing.com
