Corporate Accounting & Reporting Analyst

Job Category:  AAccounting/Finance/Insurance Type:  Full Time, Employee Minimum Education:  Bachelor's Degree Corporate Accounting & Reporting Analyst  Assist in the preparation of the Company's quarterly and annual SEC filings. Additionally, assist in the maintenance of the Company's SOX 404 project through modifications to process documentation, employee training, and communication with various internal and external resources.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists in researching and preparing documentation of various technical accounting issues that relate to the Company.Assists in the preparation of footnotes to the Company's financial statementsHelps in the preparation of the Company's external consolidated financial statementsWorks with the external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and annual auditsDrafts new or modifies preexisting documentation. Assists in the identification of key controlsHelps educate key Company personnel on the implications and requirements of SOX 404. Additionally, educates key Company personnel on their personal roles and responsibilities.Serves as a key resource to employee personnel on SOX 404 related matters.Assists with the preparation of the Company's SEC filingsEnsures mathematical accuracy of the Company's external financial systemsCompletes special projects as assignedHelps design action plans for control deficiencies that are identified.Ensures all process documentation is properly documented in the Company's Sarbanes Oxley application.QualificationsEducation and Experience A bachelor's degree in accounting or business with significant accounting emphasis. CPA license, preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in the accounting or audit profession. Experience working with or in a publicly traded company and/or public accounting experience, preferred.Knowledge and Skills Effective analytical, written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. General understanding of accounting systems and financial statements.
